SeaLife has just released a new Android app for the SportDiver underwater smartphone housing and has announced a new Sea Dragon photo/video light and Micro-series wide-angle lens for 2022. Check out the video below for more details.

SEALIFE SPORTDIVER UNDERWATER SMARTPHONE HOUSING WITH NEW ANDROID APP

SeaLife has just released a free Android app in the Play Store for the SportDiver underwater smartphone housing, allowing most popular Android models to interface with the housing’s Bluetooth controls. Previously the SportDiver app was only available for iPhone users. The housing is depth-rated to 130 feet/40 meters and features a vacuum system with two different leak alarms. The app gives smartphone users access to the same standard photo and video settings underwater that they are accustomed to using topside. Photos and video are saved directly to the phone’s camera roll. The housing can run up to 50 hours on two AAA batteries. It includes a red filter and accepts SeaLife Moisture Muncher anti-fog capsules. A ¼-20 tripod mount allows it to be used with SeaLife’s Flex-Connect system or any tray with standard tripod threads.

SEALIFE SEA DRAGON 3000 SPOT/FLOOD PRO DUAL BEAM

This versatile underwater photo and video light gives shooters the choice between a 3,000-lumen flood beam and a 1,500-lumen spotlight. The flood beam provides 120-degrees of coverage and will run for an hour at full power. It features three power levels; 100-, 50- and 25-percent power. The spot beam has a 15-degree beam angle and can be set to 100- and 50-percent power. Both lights are designed to mimic sunlight for more natural underwater color. The light also features a red-light mode. A single push button cycles between all modes and power levels.

SEALIFE MICRO-SERIES WIDE-ANGLE DOME LENS

This wide-angle dome lens for SeaLife Micro-series cameras takes the Micro’s 100-degree shooting angle and increases it by 50%. The resulting 143-angle field of view makes it easy to get everything in the shot. The lens also allows the camera to get three times closer to subject, allowing for close-up, wide-angle compositions. Lenses will be available starting December 2021.
